Young Women Theme

"We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. We will "stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places" (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are:
Faith,
Divine Nature,
Individual Worth,
Knowledge,
Choice and Accountability,
Good Works,
Integrity
and Virtue.
We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values, we will be prepared to strengthen home and family,
make and keep sacred covenants,
receive the ordinances of the temple,
and enjoy the blessings of exaltation."

Vista 1st Ward Young Women Fashion Show

Vista 1st Ward Young Women/RS Fashion Show

The Vista 1st Ward combined with their Relief Society and had a great fashion show featuring modest dresses.
Lyndsey Zeltner was also honored as a graduating senior from high school.
The fashion show illustrated the journey of a young woman from teenage years to young adulthood to being a bride. Many of these young women talked about the importance of working toward achieving their goal of being married in the temple. The fashion show concluded with beautiful, modest bridal gowns being modeled by some of the new brides from the Vista 1st Ward. It was a great activity!

An Invitation To Young Women From The General YW Presidency

Being an "example of the believers" is not easy. It takes daily effort to remember who we are and what believers do. We would like to invite you to do three things every day that can give you strength and help you be an example to your family and friends. As a presidency, we are doing these things - 100 percent of the time. Would you be willing to join with us?
First, pray every day.
Second, read the Book of Mormon every day for at least 5 minutes.
Third, smile every day.

You can read the entire Invitation To Young Women by going to http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?
" An Example Of The Believers"

“You Tell On Yourself”
You tell on yourself by the friends you seek,
By the very manner in which you speak,
By the way you employ your leisure time,
By the use you make of dollar and dime.
You tell what you are by the things you wear,
And even by the way you wear your hair,
By the kind of things at which you laugh,
By the records you play on your phonograph.
You tell what you are by the way you walk,
By the things of which you delight to talk.
By the manner in which you bury deceit,
By so simple a thing as how you eat.
By the books you choose from the well-filled shelf,
In these ways and more you tell on yourself.
